Miriam R. Sitler

Miriam R. Sliter, 84, of Pittsfield, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Rouse Warren County Home.

She was born in Brockway, PA, on July 29, 1937, to the late Mable Cindrich and Robert Perrin. Miriam was employed by the Warren County Dept. of Human Services as a group home supervisor, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Warren Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Miriam loved her flower garden and cooking, but she loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren most of all.

Miriam is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Carl E. Sliter; her children, Rebecca (Jim )Shumaker of Malinta, OH, Thomas Sliter of Chandlers Valley, Carla Burch of Dubois, PA and Andrea (Shawn) Desnerck of Lakewood, NY; her sisters, Carol Brin of Bradenton, FL, Sherry Kendall of Indiana and Norma Teats of Russell, PA; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Morgan, Michael Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Jessica Bostleman, Tristan Desnerck, Morgan Desnerck, Tyrel Jackson, Cameron Jackson, Chelsey Nipp, Jennifer Jackson, Tommy Sliter, Amanda Jones, Jerome Sliter, Tara White, Echo Sciersen, Jade Fox, Sky Fiscus; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Robinault and two brothers, Jack and Robert Perrin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 11 am-12 pm, at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St. Youngsville, PA 16371, at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Elder, Travis Tudor, officiating. Burial will follow in Wrightsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warren Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, 201 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA., 16365
