Mental Health Expert to Address Community Thursday Night at WAHS

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County YMCA and CORE (Choosing Openness Regarding Experiences) have arranged for renowned youth mental health speaker Jeff Yalden to address the Warren community at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the Warren Area High School auditorium.

After spending the day with students and staff, Yalden will address the community about what he calls a “forever decision” made by two students and a teacher this academic year.

“I’m not coming to fix this, I can’t,” Yalden said in a video posted Tuesday. “What I’m coming to do is to help normalize the conversation. My talk will be safe, informative, uplifting, and educational. You’ll never forget this experience, but this experience should not define you. Going through it together is the best thing that we can do.”

Yalden is the founder of The Jeff Yalden Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)(3) that brings awareness and suicide prevention to school communities in a crisis situation.
