Marienville State Police Seek Information in Pair of Weekend Thefts

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – State police are looking for information about a pair of thefts reported over the weekend of Sept. 25-26.

According to Marienville-based Pennsylvania State Police, a West Middlesex, Pennsylvania woman reported on Sept. 25 that an electric meter had been stolen from the side of her camp along Guitonville Road in Green Township.

Police responded to a call on Negley Lane in Jenks Township Sept. 26 regarding stolen hunting equipment. According to police, a Brackenridge, Pennsylvania man reported more than $600 in hunting gear had been stolen from a trail off Salmon Creek Road in the Allegheny National Forest between Sept. 21 and Sept. 26.

Among the items stolen were a green Big Game Hunter two-person tree stand, valued at $400, a Verizon Stealth fusion trail camera, valued at $179, various ratchet straps, valued at $60 and a solar panel with attached 12 volt battery.
