Madeline Louise Gray Colvin

Madeline Louise Gray Colvin, 83, passed away on Aug. 27, 2021, at Kinzua Health Care, surrounded by her loving family.

Madeline was born on Jan. 6, 1938, in Warren, Pa., to the late Ralph and Genevieve (Porter) Gray.

She was a 1955 graduate of Warren Area High School. In 1972, Madeline received her certification for hospital foodservice supervisors from Penn State University. She was employed for 32 years in the dietary department at Warren General Hospital from which she retired in 2000.

As a long-term member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Madeline attended Bible study and shared her faith by teaching Bible school for many years. Madeline truly loved spending time with her family playing Scrabble and cards, going camping, sharing stories about the farm and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Madeline is survived by her children: Marcia (Dean) Graziano of Youngsville, Pa., Rebecca (Richard) Moore of Warren, Pa.; one brother, Dorian Gray of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Colvin of Plant City, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Colvin on Aug. 12, 2021; her brothers: Melvin, Paul, Herman, Merle, Wendell, Russell and James Gray; and her sisters: Helen Titsworth, Rachel Chandler and Adelle Mead.

Friends and family will be received at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Ave. East, on Monday, Aug. 3o, 2021, from noon to 1 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held with the Pastor Bruce Knorpp officiating.

Burial will be private in the Gross Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kinzua Healthcare for the wonderful care given to Madeline.
