WARREN, Pa. – Jaret Lang hit a grand slam and tripled as Nyquist, Long and Associates and Warren Overhead Door had an offensive explosion that Nyquist, Long won 20-18 in boys’ majors action on Friday.
Those two extra-base knocks were part of a 3-hit night for Lang. Matt Shippee also had three hits, including a double, while Keegan Weissinger and Tucker Sanford doubled, and Collin Havers tripled. Grant May and Mikah Benton also contributed to the hit parade.
Jack Abplanalp had four hits for Warren Overhead Door. Clay Cummings and Bently Sherry each had three hits and Caleb Fralick had two hits.
May and Benton went 2 innings and 1 inning, respectively, with 4 strike outs between them. Matt Shippee came in to pitch the last 3 innings striking out 7 to close out.
Sherry and Mason Warner shared pitching duties for Warren Overhead Door striking out 4.
