WARREN, Pa. – Isaac Neal and Heath Genis threw complete games as John Anderson Construction won twice this week, while A&B Heating, Struthers Hose Co., and Calvert Pearson also picked up wins in Little League play.
BOYS’ MAJORS
FROM MAY 23: A&B HEATING 9, EXPERIENCE INC. 6
For A&B Heating Ty Bryan had a triple and struck out 14 batters. Eddie Abplanalp had a triple.
For Experience Inc. Lauson Hoisington hit a double. Wesley Wilcox went 2 for 2 with a single and a double. Asher Stanton had a single and pitched really well on the mound.
BOYS’ MINORS
STRUTHERS HOSE CO. 16, DAHLSTROM ROLL AND FOAM 9
Ackron Hoisington led Struthers with an inside-the-park home run and double with 3 runs scored. Laine Jackson added a double and Braylon Richards added a solid double.
For Dahlstrom Luke Baxter crushed a triple to deep left and scored 2 runs. Wesley Hornstrom, Kenton McGraw, and Max Papalia all scored twice.
FROM MAY 22: CALVERT PEARSON 11, SUPERIOR TIRE 6
Deadlocked through 2, Calvert Pearson pulled away to beat Superior Tire and Rubber 11-6 Monday night.
Setting the tone for CP, Janson Walter’s reached base safely in all 4 plate appearances, going 2-2 with a double and 4 runs. Zane Getner went 2-4 at bat with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Trae Cradduck knocked in 3 RBIs and 1 run scored himself.
With a game high 3 hits, Marcus Williams had a triple and scored 3 of STR 6 runs. Charles Sienkiewicz went 2-3 knocking in 2 runs. Landon Coppersmith added a hit, while also making a nice grab in shallow right field.
