Little League: “Air” Stuart Lifts A&B Heating to Win Over Allegheny Prints

May 31, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Tanner Stuart lifted first his own body, then his team, to a win Tuesday as Stuart scored the game-winning run in A&B Heating’s 6-5 win over Allegheny Prints in boys’ majors Little League action.

With the game tied at 5-5 and two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Stuart went for third on a passed ball. Wyatt Wilson’s throw went over the third baseman, but Logan Ristau was backing up and fired the ball back to Wilson at the plate as Stuart was breaking for home. Ristau’s throw beat Stuart, and Wilson was in position to make the tag.

Stuart leapt over Wilson, avoided the tag, and landed safely on home plate for the winning run.

On the mound, Abplanalp struck out seven over 2 2/3 innings, Abbey struck out a pair, and Bryan struck out all six batters he faced.
