ABOUT LISA BODNAR AND WHISTLEGRASS AND THE PA 67 TOUR

Pennsylvania music makers Lisa Bodnar and Whistlegrass have one mission: to provide concert events in all 67 PA counties to unite communities and help raise funds for those in need. These events are fundraisers for non-profit organizations whose work helps with one of the following community needs: Food Insecurity/Homelessness, The Environment, Arts/Education, and Emergency First Responders.

Lisa Bodnar is a singer-songwriter and DEKO Entertainment recording artist from Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. Her music reflects the resilience and optimism of the region. Despite personal challenges, including home destruction from floods, Lisa has stayed positive and channeled her experiences into her music. Her latest album, “40 Years in the Desert,” showcases her best work, with songs that range from haunting and reflective to upbeat and joyful. Lisa’s musical journey began early in life, influenced by her parents’ love of violin and California music. She started writing songs at a young age and gained recognition locally and in Philadelphia. Her debut album, “Maybe I Did,” received acclaim, and her sophomore release, “Come Hell or High Water,” earned Grammy nominations. Lisa’s music is known for its uplifting spirit and captivating vocals. After years of performing and collaborating with top artists, she returns with a more stripped-down and organic sound in her latest album. Her ultimate goal is to create songs that evoke strong emotions and elevate listeners’ spirits.

ABOUT THE FOREST COUNTY EMS AUTHORITY

The Forest County EMS Authority is a newly formed ambulance service organization that will help to ensure basic life support ambulance service to the Forest County communities of Marienville and Tionesta, as well as northern Clarion County. Since the prior local ambulance service was discontinued in 2018, the average wait times for ambulance service are anywhere between 45 minutes and 2 hours. This new organization will provide more immediate life-saving services to this community.

ABOUT FCCLA

FCCLA is a national, nonprofit, student-led organization that helps students develop leadership and workplace skills to prepare for both college and careers through peer-to-peer education, community engagement, and the application of skills learned in the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) classroom. The Forest County Schools’ local chapters of this organization participate in school- and community-focused projects that help students learn to balance career and family responsibilities along with developing leadership, teamwork, creativity, and time management skills. For over 20 years, Forest County Schools’ East and West chapters have earned the honor of representing Pennsylvania at their National Leadership Conference. This honor is expensive, so the chapters are always looking for ways to defray the cost to our families.
