Library Announces Story Walk Winners

October 22, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – Early in October the Warren Public Library collaborated with thirteen businesses along Liberty Street and Second Avenue to host a story walk.

In July we did a story walk that focused on the classic picture book Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. There were so many positive comments from families, teachers and participating businesses, so we did it again in October. The second story walk focused on the follow-up picture book More Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina with Ann Marie Mulhearn Sayer.

The names of participants who turned in their Submission Forms after doing the October story walk were entered into a random drawing. Twelve names were pulled. Each of the twelve children received a gift bag filled with items that related to the story, such as t-shirts, posters, a copy of the book and some other monkey tidbits. The Slobodkina Foundation donated the t-shirts, posters and books.

Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you to all the participants, including the businesses who posted pages from the story in their windows.
