Judith M. Sharp Smith

December 15, 2021

Judith M. Sharp Smith, 80, of Warren, formerly of Wrightsville, died on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, in the Rouse Home, Youngsville.

She was born in Warren on July 30, 1941, the daughter of the late Claud and Angus James Sharp.

Judith attended Starbrick Community Church, and was employed with Lorangers for many years.

She was an amazing woman, she worked hard while raising five boys during sometimes difficult times. Judith was a loving mother and wife who always did what was best for her family. She was a nurturer and protector and loved to cook and garden. She also had a passion for antiques and took her boys to go bottle digging. Judith was always in search of that Bitters Bottle. As a hobby, she refinished furniture for antique dealers and she was always in demand.

Judith would always do things her way and her favorite song was Elvis’s version of “My Way”. She lived her life just that way doing it her way.

She enjoyed people and was never at a loss for words, she always had words of wisdom whenever there was a crisis. Judith has always been the families rock when we needed her to be.

Later in life she enjoyed reading, puzzles and word finds. She will be missed by many.

Judith is survived by her three sons: Timothy Smith and wife, Meta of Irvine, Trevor Smith and Kerry Smith and companion, Paula Harrington, all of Warren; four grandchildren: Kimberly, Casie (Shawn), Kathy (Brad) and Alexandria; three great-grandchildren: Conner, Grayson and Hudson; one brother, Rod James of Madison, Ohio; one sister, Sandra Ishman and sister-in-law, Fran White, both of Titusville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Harold L. Smith; two sons: Jeffery and Todd Smith; and two brothers: James Sharp and Larry White.

A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Starbrick Community Church on Weiler Road, Starbrick one block of Route 6. Please follow current Covid-19 protocols.
