Jay P. Arden

Jay P. Arden, 60, of Warren, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.

He was born Nov. 11, 1960, to Clifford O. Arden and Deloris Applegate Munroe in Waterloo, N.Y.

Jay did maintenance at a homeless shelter and was a fun-loving guy who got along with everyone. He enjoyed playing the drums, dressing as a clown for parties, but his favorite thing to do was dress as Santa for Christmas. He was also a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army.

Jay is survived by his wife, Paula Jones Arden; his mother, Deloris and stepfather, Richard Munroe; six siblings: Doris (Tim Page) Catching, Barbara (Bryan) Penworth, Debbie (Bill) Leaman, Carl (Samantha) Arden, Ray Arden and Bill (Hazel) Arden; his four sons: Brett Arden, Kori Arden, Arik Arden and Jaden Arden; two step-children: William (Loretta) Jones and Jessica (John) Jones; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford O. Arden; his grandmother, Mary Applegate; and a son, Robbie Arden.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, officiating.
