It’s Officially Membership Recruitment Week At the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry

November 16, 2020

It’s membership recruitment week at the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry.

From this Monday, Nov. 16, until Friday, the WCCBI will be looking to add new members.

The week begins with a ‘Meet and Greet’ on Monday and Tuesday, where the doors will be open to the WCCBI for non-members to meet with WCCBI Staff.

It ends on Friday at Eggs and issues on Friday at 7:30 a.m. at the Conewango Club, where the Chamber will give a presentation about their goals for 2021. The cost is free.

“This week is first and foremost a thank you to our existing members for every year, including this past year,” said WCCBI Director of Chamber Operations & Tourism John Papalia. “I’s also about trying to gather more information on how we can better serve Warren County and our membership base to provide more resources to the citizens of Warren.”

Papalia expressed excitement at what the Chamber has going on this week.

“With the ‘Meet and Greet,’ it’s an opportunity for businesses to come learn more about the Chamber,” Papalia said. “There’s a 10 percent off discount for joining this week plus you get entered into a drawing for a free membership.

“Thursday we’re doing an open forum night for people to come, share ideas, learn more about them, their business and how we can better serve them. We’re also doing a ‘Chamber Chatter’ with Warren Tire Center on Facebook Live. We’ll highlight the business and give a quick little tour.”

With COVID 19, it’s been a challenging year, but Papalia is excited about the future.

“Membership has held pretty steady, but we are down a few members,” he said. “We’ve grown for the past five years, but took a little dip as many Chambers have. The sting of Covid had a great impact on our businesses. We’re here to work with them, help them and bounce back in 2021.”
