
BRADFORD, Pa. – Bradford scored on its first two drives en route to a 31-14 win over visiting Warren in the season opener for the Warren Hogs.
Thayne Gourley scored the first Hogs touchdown of the season on a 1-yard run following a long pass from Ty Bryan to Parker Kiser.
Late in the third quarter, Bryan turned the corner, fought off a defender, and raced 65 yards to paydirt. He hooked up with Kiser again for the 2-point conversion to end the scoring for the Hogs.
Bryan led the offense with 172 total yards (100 through the air), a rushing TD, and threw for a 2pt conversion. Kiser had 55 receiving yards, 10 rushing yards, and caught a 2 pt conversion. Gourley had 7 rushing yards, 5 receiving yards, and a rushing TD. Wyatt Wilson had 40 receiving yards.
Kiser also led the team in tackles and broke up a pass. Copper Nobles and Drake Brown each had four tackles and a sack.
The Hogs will host Port Allegheny in Sheffield on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. and the Warren Dawgs will travel to Smethport on Saturday, Aug. 27 for a 1 p.m. game.
