H. Allen Petersen, “Farmer Pete”, 94, of Warren, Pa., passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Pete was born on Nov. 27, 1927, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Henry Douglas and Vida Matilda Venman Petersen.

He was a graduate of Warren Area High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Pete was co-owner and co-originator of PAPCO INC. He also enjoyed farming and was known by many for his generosity in sharing his produce.

He was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church, where he sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge 223, American Legion Post 135, and the Moose Club 109. He also served on the Warren County School Board.

Pete and his wife resided in Lake City, Colo., during the summer months.

Pete is survived by his wife and love of his life, Bobbie Vogel Petersen; two daughters: Lynn (Guy) McCuen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Julie (Joe) Stauffer of York, Pa.; daughter in law, Karen Petersen of Warren; two stepchildren; Bill (Rose) Davis and Sandy McLaurin, both of Texas; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Jon A Peter-sen in 2020 and Alan D. Petersen in 2017; a sister, Lois Petersen Orth; and a brother, Harold Petersen.

In accordance with Pete’s wishes, no services will be held.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, One Main Ave., Warren, PA 16365.
