May 8, 2021

LAWRENCE PARK, Pa. – Eisenhower broke open a 2-2 tie with two runs in the fifth in a 5-2 win over Iroquois.

Jared Beers’ RBI single gave the Knights a 3-2 lead in the fifth, and Zach Rohlin had an RBI groundout.

Rohlin gave the Knights an insurance run in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly.

Teagan Gray got the complete-game victory, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out nine. He needed just 80 pitches to get through seven innings, 57 of which went for strikes.

Camron Jakubczak and Dillon Benson also had RBIs for the Knights.

Reilly Brown was the tough-luck loser, tossing a complete game himself, giving up just one earned run, and striking out five while allowing six hits. He didn’t issue a walk. Gavin Lewis went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Braves.
