During their regular meeting Tuesday, township supervisors agreed to add language to the nuisance order that will specify what items can and cannot be burned. That language will be sent to the solicitor and returned to the supervisors for final approval at a later date.

“We’ve had some issues with (burn) complaints this year,” Township Secretary/Treasurer Tiffany Smith said.

The supervisors also passed a motion Tuesday to hire Eagle Zip to perform an update/redesign of the township’s website. The update will cost approximately $600.

“What prompted this was we couldn’t upload the newsletter,” Smith said. “Plus, our current site is not very user friendly.”

Supervisors considered three options for upgrades to the website, with the first two focusing primarily on upgrading the calendar. The possibility of adding additional information through a redesign won out.

“We can add the monthly minutes to the site with this,” Chairman Fred Freeman said. “We want to keep everything as open as possible.”
