Gerald “Jerry” Ronald Cataldo, age 78, of Youngsville, Pa, passed away on January 23, 2021, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa, on November 9, 1942, a son to the late Gerald and Florence (Lehman) Cataldo of Gibsonia, Pa.

Jerry is the beloved husband of Bethany (Blough) Cataldo, father of Gerald Cataldo Jr. and Kimberly (Cataldo) Holden, stepfather of two, Bret and the late Vance Bachelor and grandfather of 3 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Cataldo and sister, Jackie (Cataldo) Stritzinger.

Gerald, “Jerry” was a graduate of Hampton High School, in Allison Park, Pa, and was a proud Marine from 1961 to 1966.  He worked as a Deputy Conservation Officer for the Pa Fish and Boat Commission and retired as Police Chief of the Youngsville Police Department. Jerry was an avid and passionate (maybe even obsessive) fisherman and loved spending time on Chautauqua Lake with his wife, Bethany.

Jerry did not want a funeral with visitation because of the Covid-19 pandemic.  A memorial service will be held (in his words), “down the road.”
