Forest Area Industry Club Students Travel to Cook Forest for Workshop

LEEPER, Pa. – In May of 2022, the East and West Forest Industry Clubs traveled to the Cook Forest Fun Park.

During the morning hours, they had the opportunity to learn about the Pine Creek K-9 Search and Rescue Unit, Mr. Dave Yeany spoke with the students about his Maple Syrup and Kettle Corn businesses. The Fun Park owner, Tom Burns, talked to the students about tourism in the Cook Forest area.

After a picnic lunch, the students could enjoy the water slide, mini golf, go-karts, and bumper boats. The East and West Forest Industry Clubs, advised by Mrs. Lisa Banner (WF) and Mrs. Jane Cislon (EF) are school clubs designed for junior high students to start researching various career possibilities in multiple industries.
