“Fashion Flaunt” Fundraiser Set for May 29

May 22, 2024

IRVINE, Pa. – Get ready for the wedding season at the Wilder Museum of Warren County History’s “Always a Bridesmaid…Never a Bride!” Fashion Flaunt Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 29 from 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and fancy beverages while local models parade the runway showcasing elegant, whimsical, and chic bridesmaid gowns.

The event will include a display of vintage gowns from the Warren County Historical Society’s textiles collection. These fabulous dresses, in a rainbow of colors and a variety of fabrics, span the decades and the seasons. See how women of the past century supported friends and family on their special days.

The highlight of the evening is the annual purse auction conducted by professional auctioneer Scott Amundson. High bidders win purses –and the super-secret prizes inside such as jewelry, artwork, and gift certificates donated by area businesses, stores, and restaurants.

The Warren County Visitors Bureau has selected the Fashion Flaunt as one of the area’s premiere events. To join the fun, RSVP to 814-723-1795 or [email protected]. The cost of entry is a donation, and all proceeds go to maintaining Warren County’s local treasure trove of history.

The Fashion Flaunt marks the opening of the Wilder Museum’s season. Located at 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, Pennsylvania, the museum houses over 4,000 local artifacts. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, it will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Fall hours for Sept. 6 through Oct. 12 are Friday and Saturday, 1-5 p.m.
