Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Parinella

Elizabeth “Betty” Parinella, 77, of Warren, Pa., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 26, 2021, at Warren Manor Nursing Home, Warren, Pa.

Betty was born Dec. 3, 1943, in Warren, Pa. She was the daughter of Harry and Mildred Fenchel Hartnett.

She was a lifelong Warren, Pa., and Jamestown, N.Y. resident. She was formerly a resident in Venice, Fla.

Betty was a 1962 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed as a cook with the Area Agency for Aging, retiring from there after 15 years employment. She was owner/operator of All-Star Cleaning in Venice, Fla., for five years. She had also owned and operated her own catering business. Betty was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Her passion in life, was her family and cooking Italian meals, even though she was Irish.

She is survived by her two children: Steve Parinella and Terry Parinella, both of Warren, Pa.; two grandsons: Tyler and Dylan Eklund; one brother, Robert “Bob” Hartnett and wife, Brenda of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Jane Hartnett; her Shih Tzu Maltese named Rocky; and several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Anthony “Tony” F. Parinella, whom she married April 24, 1965, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Warren, Pa., who died Oct. 30, 2003; one brother, Richard “Dick” Hartnett; and one sister, Sally Mickleson.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren, Pa., on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, from 10-11a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Father Richard Tomasone, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Warren, Pa. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Experience Inc. (area agency on aging), 905 Fourth Avenue, Warren, PA. 16365 or Paw Along the River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA. 16365.
