Eisenhower’s Black Claims Gold at Tool City Tournament

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Eisenhower’s Cael Black took home a championship at the prestigious Tool City Tournament on Saturday.

Wrestling in the 285-pound weight class, Black earned an 11-3 major decision over McDowell’s Jack Sroka in the championship bout.

On his way to the title, Black claimed an 18-2 tech fall over Meadville’s Jason Phillips and a second-period pin over Girard’s Zach Baldwin.

In addition, teammate Gannon Jaquay took fourth at 160 pounds, Cole Kellogg and Tucker Lindell sixth at 126 and 152 respectively and Griffin Williams (106), Justin Darr (215) and Michael Vanatta (285) eighth.

For Warren, Christian Papalia notched a first-period pin over Cochranton’s Paydin Russell to claim third at 113.

Also for the Dragons, Adika Fiscus (106), Cameron Williams (120) and Grant Heeter (145) took sixth.
