Eisenhower Grapplers Top Warren on Special Night

RUSSELL, Pa. – In a packed house for a great cause on Senior Night, it was Eisenhower that toppled county rival Warren, 45-18 in wrestling.

The match was a ‘White Out’ to benefit the Warren General Hospital Cancer Care Center in memory of former Warren coach Dean Johnson. A total of $600 was raised.

On the mat, Eisenhower’s three seniors – Josh Parker, Cael Black and Gannon Jaquay all got pins, with Parker opening the match at Jaquay closing it.

Parker and Black’s pins came in the first period and Jaquay’s in the third.

The Knights got five pins in total, also getting falls from Shawn Pascuzzi at 145 and Tucker Lindell at 152.

The Knights also grinded out some wins courtesy of Brok English’s 11-4 decision at 189, Griffin Williams’ 7-4 decision at 106 and Derek Childs’ 9-7 decision at 138.

Alan McAllister had a big win for the Dragons, earning a first-period pin at 285.
