Eisenhower Girls Hold off Kane

August 31, 2022

RUSSELL, Pa. – Emily Grosch’s goal five minutes into the second half proved to be the difference as Eisenhower beat Kane, 2-1.

Katie Bunk scored in the first half, on an assist from Clara Steinberg, who had two assists in the game.

Jillian Watts scored in the first half for Kane.

“It was a hard-fought game,” said Eisenhower coach Alex Johnson. “Kane stepped up their play from past seasons making us really have to adjust how we played and controlled the ball. We had a lot of options generated out of good passing from our midfield.”

The Eisenhower defense held Kane to just six shots on goal.
