Eisenhower Falls to Seneca in D10 Girls’ Soccer Semis

October 28, 2021

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Kendall Joint scored twice to lead Seneca to a 2-0 win over Eisenhower in the District 10 Class 1A girls soccer semifinals at Titusville’s Carter Field Thursday.

Joint scored her first goal off a corner kick near the midpoint of the first half. She intercepted a goal kick in the early going of the second half and just beat keeper Tracey Jakubczak to the near post for the final tally.

2nd half

Bobcats keeper Rorri Mueller had to fend off strong Eisenhower pressure in the second half, including a pair of late corner kicks. The senior squared-up nearly every shot and kept the Knights off the board.

The Knights found themselves in another physical contest similar to their 2-1 victory over Cambridge Springs on Tuesday. Eisenhower’s Elley Eastman and Seneca’s Sage Slowikowski were seemingly locked up the entire match as both used their speed and skill to battle for the ball.

The win was Seneca’s third this season over Eisenhower, all three were by identical 2-0 scores.

Eisenhower finished the season 11-5-1, another strong campaign from the Lady Knights.

Seneca will face Mercer for the District 10 Class 1A championship at a time, date and location to be determined.
