Eagles Have No Trouble With Cambridge Springs; Dragons Blanked by McDowell

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – David Manning was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs as Youngsville picked up its 14th win of the season, 9-4 over Cambridge Springs.

The Eagles scored five runs in the fourth inning, as Matt DeSimone was 1-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs, James Johnson 1-for-2 with an RBI, two walks and a run and Brayden Baker 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Lucks went 3 ⅔ innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four, while Manning tossed two scoreless innings, allowing two hits.

Matthew Ross was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Blue Devils and Josh Gorton was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a double.

Brett Kania took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) in 3 ⅓ innings, allowing one hit, striking out two and walking three.


WARREN, Pa. – Ethan Bechtold fired a 3-hit shutout as McDowell beat Warren, 8-0.

Bechtold struck out five and walked four.

Connor Cross and Jake Hower drove in two runs each, while Tino Musone was 2-for-5 with an RBI and three runs and Nick Hamilton was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Eric Dippold took the loss, allowing five runs (two earned) in 1 ⅔ innings, allowing five hits and striking out one.
