January 20, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – Ben Berdine poured in 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as Warren earned a 54-43 win over Oil City on Tuesday.

The win was the second-straight for the Dragons, who beat Oil City on Saturday.

Against the Oilers they raced out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter. The only bad news was senior Payton Barnes, who scored five of the first seven points, was forced to exit due to an injury.

The Dragons went on to lead 31-19 at halftime and didn’t allow Oil City back in the game.

The backcourt duo of sophomore Parks Ordiway and freshman Tommy Nyquist played very well, scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Oil City was led by Cameron VanWormer and Isaiah Aeschbacher with nine points apiece.

The Dragons were also winners in the junior varsity contest, 55-29.
