Dragons Hold Chilly Spring Practice

March 28, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – While many across Warren County were pining for spring on Saturday, the Warren football team already had its sights set on the fall.

The 2022 Dragons held their spring practice, in 38-degree weather complete with snow and hail, at War Memorial Field. Despite the weather, 47 players, including eight from Youngsville, turned out for the voluntary practice session.

Warren coach Mark Morelli was pleased, not just with the turnout, but what it portends for the fall season as well.

“No complaints at all from our coaching staff, we were very pleased with the turnout, some good quantity along with some quality returners, who we hope we can develop and have them contribute to our upcoming season,“ Morelli said. “We anticipate between 50 to 55 kids once August rolls around. Considering we dressed 36 for our playoff game last November, our numbers are on the upswing. There is a good vibe among our kids to play football for the Dragons.”
