WARREN, Pa. – Tommy Nyquist and Ethan Senz rushed for two touchdowns each as Warren beat Corry in its regular-season finale, 32-14.
The Dragons (5-4) jumped out to a 20-0 lead as Senz scored on a 7-yard run and a Nyquist 26-yard scamper.
Senz extended the lead to 20-0 on a 9-yard run with 8:05 to go in the second quarter.
Nathan Lesher got Corry on the board at the 5:21 mark of the second quarter.
The Dragons extended their lead to 32-6 in the third quarter. First, it was big-play Ben White scoring on a 61-yard pass from Eric Dippold, followed by a 5-yard run from Nyquist.
Corry added a late score courtesy of a Lesher 4-yard run.
Nyquist finished with 132 yards on the ground, Senz 65 and Sam Harvey 52 for the Dragons. Lesher led Corry with 41 yards rushing and 143 yards passing.
The Dragons now turn their attention to the District 10 Class 4A semifinals next week when they will battle General McLane. The two teams met earlier this season, a 34-31 win for GM in a back-and-forth affair.
