Dragons Capture First at 25-Team Marquette Meadville Invitational

The Warren Dragons took first place in the 25-team Marquette Meadville Invitational on Tuesday.

MEADVILLE, Pa. – With a team score of 328, Warren edged Grove City to win the team title at the Marquette Meadville Invitational at the Country Club of Meadville.

Fairview followed in the 25-team field with a total of 338, followed by Lakeview at 339, Franklin at 348, and Meadville and Mercer at 349.

Slippery Rock’s Jacob Wolak shot a 3-under 69 to earn medalist honors, followed by Warren’s Braddock Damore (72), Fairview’s Anthony Laboda (77), Union City’s Josh James (77), Mercyhurst Prep’s Nick Momeyer (78), Franklin’s Aiden McCracken, Warren’s Owen Blum and Corry’s Nate James, who all shot 79s.

Grove City’s Tyler Hamilton and General McLane’s Rhodes rounded out the top 10, each shooting 80.

Also for Warren, Conner Zaffino shot an 86 and Brady Berdine a 91. Included in Damore’s round were three birdies.
