Dolores Saporito

Dolores Helen Saporito, 91, a resident of the Rouse Home, Youngsville, Pa., formerly of Warren, Pa., died Monday evening, Oct. 4, 2021, after an extended illness.

She was born June 17, 1930, in New Bedford, Mass., the daughter of John and Callie Rodgers Pimento.

Dolores has resided in Warren for the past 46 years. She was employed with J.C. Penny’s as a bookkeeper. She also baked and decorated wedding cakes. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Bed-ford Women’s Club and an accomplished piano player.

She is survived by her 2 sons: John C. Saporito of Youngsville, Pa., and Eric A. Saporito of Lakeland, Fla.; one granddaughter, Lauren Saporito Mesel and husband, Chad.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Saporito, whom she married Feb. 17, 1961, in New Bedford, Mass., and who died March 6, 2021; one grandson, Jeremy Saporito, who died March 17, 2014; and one sister, Mary Blacksted.

A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Richard Tomasone, pastor, officiating.
