SHARON, Pa. – In the event the PIAA votes to start fall practices on Aug. 24, District 10 will have a new look for the fall of 2020.

In a Tweet from their official account Monday morning, District 10 implied that they will look to schedule county schools against each other as much as possible.

The Tweet read: “In the event the PIAA votes to start practice on August 24, District 10 will revamp Regions utilizing to the degree possible county based competition. This may include playing teams twice in sports where that is usually not done.”

The decision to play fall sports has been in limbo since Gov. Tom Wolf issued comments recommending that youth sports be postponed until at least Jan. 1. It was shortly after those comments that the PIAA delayed the start of fall sports practices until Aug. 24. The PIAA Board of Directors is scheduled to meet this Friday, Aug. 21.

District 10’s next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 9.
