GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Matt DeSimone homered and drove in five runs to lead Youngsville to a 10-6 win at Maplewood.
DeSimone hit a 3-run blast with one out in the sixth to extend the Eagles’ lead to 9-3. That came two pitches after Ethan Senz’s RBI single pushed the lead to 6-3.
James Johnson had two hits, both doubles and drove in a pair in the win. Wyatt Dalrymple had two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Senz and Talon Mesel each scored twice.
Nate Lucks got the win allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with one walk and four strikeouts in six innings. DeSimone closed out the win giving up three earned runs on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
Elijah Hochstetler had four hits for the Tigers. Andrew Proper had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in a pair. Levi Wilson had one double among his three hits. He also scored twice and had two RBIs.
