David Wayne Taylor

David Wayne Taylor, 58 of White Road, Sugar Grove, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at Corry Hospital.

Born Aug. 15, 1963, in Barberton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Bonnie Sue Layne Taylor and David Gene Taylor, who survives him. Also surviving is his wife, Ellie Koch Taylor; four boys: Nick Taylor of Sugar Grove, Eric Taylor of Starbrick, Jake Taylor of Sugar Grove and Jessy Taylor of Sugar Grove; two granddaughters: Alison Taylor and Riley Taylor, both of Sugar Grove; two very dear cousins: Beverly Russell and Fonda Shafer, both of West Virginia; and an aunt, Evora Chamberlin and her husband of Sugar Grove.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

David was an avid outdoorsman, everything from fishing, hunting, trapping, and hiking around his property, talking about trees and such. He also enjoyed working on his farm with his animals and garden with the company of family and friends. He loved preaching and sharing his wisdom of all life’s fruits and labors. Everyone that has met him loved him and he loved talking and meeting new people. He will be greatly missed as a grandfather, father, husband and friend.

He was employed as a lead operator/shift foreman at United Refinery in Warren. He was a member of the Columbus Community Church, Columbus, Pa., where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at 11 a.m.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 117 Main Street, Sugar Grove, PA have been entrusted with the arrangements.
