Andy CloseDale Q. Holt, 78, of Russell, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.
He was born Feb. 28, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son to the late Donald and Alta (Cole) Holt.
Dale was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a radar operator from 1964-66. He was a former logger and retired from Farmington Township, where he was an equipment operator for many years. Dale was a member of the Frewsburg American legion and the NRA. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rita (Sanborn) Holt, whom he married in 1968 at the Cable Hollow Church. He is also survived by his brother, Ted (Shirley) Holt of Russell, Pa., and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by two brothers: Harry and Ray; and a sister, Rita Hill.
Per Dale’s wishes, no services will be held.
