Courtney T. Harriger

Courtney T. (Kook) Harriger, 78 of Clarendon passed away Saturday January 23, 2021 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

He was born in Warren on July 10, 1942 to Raymond T. Harriger and Ann Louise (Onufer) Harriger, Courtney was a graduate of Warren High School. He owned and operated Clarendon Service Center (Harrigers Bait Shop) since 1977 and continued until his health prevented him from doing so. Courtney had a vast amount of friends in Clarendon and the surrounding area. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing and talking to his customers, he enjoyed going to his camp in Mayburg, four wheeling, going hunting and fishing, shooting his guns, and had enjoyed playing a good game of poker with his friends and having a beer or a glass of wine. Courtney will be missed by all who knew and loved him especially those of the Clarendon community.

Left behind to cherish Courtney’s memory are his wife Jane A. Harriger whom he married in 1981, sister Cassie Endres & husband John, His stepdaughter Marcia L Wilson and Campion Tim Rugar, Stepson Jeffrey R. Van Pelt, His son Thomas R. Harriger, granddaughters; Kayla M Papalia, Angel Mathis, Amanda Slattery, Grandsons; Kyle J. Wilson & Cole J. Wilson as well as several great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by a stepbrother Doug Hoffman & wife Donna. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Arlene Winger Harriger, his sister Linda Harriger, Mother-in-law Grace. Spencer, brother and sister-in-law Robert & Kathy Spencer and a nephew Troy Endres – and further by his cat- Allie, Dogs- Demon, Muffin, Nikita.

There will be no visitation or services for Courtney, The family has entrusted the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield with the arrangements.
