WARREN, Pa. – The Conewango Creek Watershed Association will hold its 13th Annual Conewango Creek Clean-up on Sept 10.
The event will run from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Participants are asked to pre-register on our website: www.conewangocreek.org. A variety of jobs on-water and off are available. Please help us plan the event by pre-registering on our website.
Come to the Front Street canoe launch at 3 Front Street, Warren at 8 am and finalize your registration. Waivers must be signed. CCWA will provide canoes, paddles, vests, gloves, and bags. Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, a hat, long pants, and long sleeves.
Volunteers should bring bug spray, sunscreen, medications, a water bottle, and snacks as well as anything else they need for the 5-hour cleanup. We will have lots of water but please bring your own reusable bottle.
At 8:45 a.m. a safety talk will be given to all participants. Those paddling the creek will carpool to the starting point by Tractor Supply Company. People who will do on-land cleanup will be sent to various areas to pick up trash.
Everyone is to return to Front Street no later than 1 p.m. where they need to sign out with the organizers.
