Collin Dean ‘Coco’ Shine

Colin Dean “Coco” Shine, 61, of Tiona, Pa., died on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minn.

He was on a hunting trip with a good friend when he was stricken with Covid-19. He fought a hard and lengthy battle.

Colin was born Aug. 4, 1960, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Eugene and Shirley Patten Shine.

A lifelong area resident, he was a 1978 graduate of the Warren Area High School. He was currently employed with PennDOT as an operator for the past 26 years.

Coco loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, and enjoyed music. His greatest love was his two sons, his family, and his grandchildren. He was really looking forward to retirement and being an active grandfather. He had a gift of making friends wherever he went, and he was always there to lend a hand to his many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Colin is survived by his two sons: Lyle Shine of California, and Colin Shine and his wife, Danielle of Warren; three brothers: Art Shine of Warren, Pa., Rob Shine and his wife Julie of Carson City, Nev., and Tom Shine of Marshburg, Pa; his grandsons: Ronin Shine and Elias Tudor; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Colin was preceded in death by a sister, Devonna.

The family will receive friends at the PetersonBlick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, Pa., on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, Pennsylvania Ave and Russell Streets, Warren, Pa., on Friday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Stephen Schrieber, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren.

In lieu of flowers, his sons suggest memorial donations be made to the Hunt of a Lifetime, 6297 Buffalo Rd, Harborcreek, PA 16421.
