Clyde Franklin ‘Frank’ Cogar

Clyde Franklin “Frank” Cogar, 72, of Pittsfield, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, following an extended illness.

Frank was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Park Coal, W.Va., to the late Richard P. And Wilcie Blye Cogar.

After school, Frank served in the U.S. Army and after his discharge, he served as a laborer doing building construction. On March 26, 1983, Frank married Isabel J. Swanson. He was also a member of the Youngsville American Legion.

Frank is survived by his wife, Isabel; and his children: Bernard Paul Cogar of Lafayette, La., and Jennifer Woodard of Geneva, Ohio; a grandson, Michael Woodard; his four siblings; and several nieces

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at noon with two hours of visitation before, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Berea Lutheran Church in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Lawrence Scofield, officiating.
