yourdailylocalCharles Lee Scott known by most as “Charlie” or “Chuck,” 72, of Pittsfield, PA., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was involved in a vehicle accident that claimed his life and that of his beloved sister, Marcelyn Faye Scott White.
Charlie was born on June 15, 1948, in Warren, PA. He was the son of Iilo and A. Faye Ackley Scott. After graduation from Youngsville High School, he went on to become an accomplished mechanic and auto body repair technician. Owning garages in three different states.
In his off-time Charlie was a true lover of the outdoors. A lifelong hunter and angler as well as a patient observer of the natural world. In his youth, Charlie was an accomplished race car driver in his own right, competing at all local tracks including state line and Eriez speedways and won a special many hour enduro at Bradford, Pa.
He is survived by his two children – Charles J. Scott of Oklahoma City, OK., and Faye E. Smith and husband, Dusty, his eldest brother, James Scott and wife, Jean of Garland, PA., 4 Grandchildren – David, Devon, Daniel and Elijah, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Sisters – Joanne Merle Scott, Lorraine Gay Scott Stover and Marcelyn Faye “Marcy” Scott White.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M where full CDC guidelines will be enforced, masks and social distancing, please enter via front porch door in order to regulate 50 person limitation at all times. A funeral service will be conducted at Charlies’ sister home, 3181 Sanford Road, Pittsfield, PA. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ralph Culp, former pastor of Sanford United Methodist Church, officiating. Please dress appropriately as service will be outside.
