Charles L. “Chuck” Thompson, 84, of Russell, Pa., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, after an illness of the past two years.

Chuck was born July 24, 1937, in Warren, Pa. He was the son of Leonard and Cecelia Anderson Thompson. He was a lifelong Warren area resident. Chuck was employed for 28 years, as a truck driver with Crossett Trucking, Inc., where he was a member of the million-mile club and three million miles accident-free. He had previously been employed with Anderson Bakery.

He was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. After his retirement, he loved traveling in his RV. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored and was so proud of, he gave them pure love to all of them.

Chuck is remembered as a man who was always there to help anyone, he worked three jobs while the kids were growing up, supporting his family was his life.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lynne Morley Thompson, whom he married Jan, 20, 1984, in Warren, Pa.; 1one daughter, Margo Paul and husband, David, of Warren, Pa.; foster brother, Gary Truitt of Maiden, N.C.; one sister, Janet “Dutch” Kemery of Russell, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gayle Wade Thompson; two daughters: Melissa Ann Thompson Pamela Martin, 1 Son, Wade C. Thompson.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa., on Thursday,, Oct. 7, 2021, from 6-8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, Pa. with Father Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
