Chapman State Park Hosting Several Weekend Programs

It’s another busy weekend at Chapman State Park.

On Saturday, there will be an ‘Introduction to Geocaching’ event from 6-7 p.m. Learn about this high-tech scavenger hunt and how to use a GPS unit to discover the world of geocaching. A limited number of GPS units will be provided for use during the program, which is for all ages.

On Saturday, there will be a ‘Drive-In Night Sky Watch: Perseids Meteor Shower.’ Tom Traub, project director for the Martz Observatory, to learn the essentials of stargazing and observe the meteor shower. Binoculars, spotting scopes and/or telescopes are recommended but not required. All ages are welcome.

No registration for either event is required.
