Andy CloseCatherine L. Cressley, 87, of Youngsville, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 8, 202,1 at the Rouse Home.
She was born March 6, 1934, a daughter to the late Herman Hebner and Lucy Lambert as well as her step-mother, Jennie Smith Hebner Loomis. She worked at Lorangers and also Sylvania, where she retired. She enjoyed gardening, watching children and taking care of older folks. She also loved cats.
She is survived by her children: Gordon Cressley of Walterboro, S.C., Timothy Cressley of Meadville, Pa., Thomas Cressley of Cross, S.C. and Valerie Thomas of South Carolina.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings: Marian (William) Peguin of Florida, and Dorothy Mead of Youngsville; a sister-in-law, Ann Hebner of Sugar Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her hus-band, John H. Cressley, who died in 1966; her brothers; Herman Jr., Donald, Richard, Willard, Virgil and George Hebner; and sister, Bonnie (Bob) Dell.
At this time, no service will be held, per Catherine’s wishes.
