Carol Ann Pangborn

Carol Ann Pangborn, 89, of Russell, Pa., passed away peacefully on September 5, 2021, at her daughters’ residence.

Carol was born on Aug. 11, 1932, in Russell, Pa., to the late Archie and Nina Mae McCoy Pasco.

Carol was a 1950 graduate of Warren Area High School. She was an occupational therapist at the Warren State Hospital for 23 years from which she retired.

She was a lifelong member of the Cable Hollow Church. She played the piano for church services for several years and was also in the church choir. Carol was a member of the Double Dozen Birthday Club for over 50 years.

She enjoyed refinishing old furniture, cross-stitch, paint by number, word search, gardening and loved having company. She made many beautiful baby quilts for her grandchildren. She enjoyed her family and will be sadly missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Larry (Laurie) Pangborn of St. Peters, Missouri, Becky (Carl) Wentworth, Randy (Cathy) Pangborn and Beverly Pangborn, all of Russell, Pa; daughter in law, Darlene Pangborn of James-town, N.Y.; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death on Dec. 16, 1998, by her husband, Arden W. Pangborn; her son, Jerry Pangborn in 1979; two granddaughters: Lindsey Whitney in 2018, and Lisa Pangborn in 2021; siblings: Neva Carnahan, Mildred Holt, Dorothy Schuyler, Ruth Dickey, and Robert Pasco.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, from 6-8 p.m., at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna Ave, E. Warren, Pa. and from 10-111 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at the Cable Hollow Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Road Russell, Pa., at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Allan Jones, pastor, officiating, and Claire Cable, co-officiating.

Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Carol’s name be made to the Cable Hollow Church, or Hospice of Warren County, one Main St. Warren, PA 16365.
