June 16, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – A Warren man is facing a homicide charge related to the body that was discovered at a residence on Warren’s west end Wednesday, June 15.

According to a release from the City of Warren Police Department, a criminal investigation into the death resulted in Juston K. Moore, 18 of Warren, being arraigned on one count of criminal homicide.

Police said Moore is the grandson of the victim, Kelly D. Wadsworth, 60 of Warren, and that a forensic examination determined the cause of death as “asphyxiation, strangulation, and blunt force trauma.”

“No further information is being released at this time in order to respect the privacy of the victim’s family,” Warren Police Chief Joe Sproveri said in the release.

Moore is currently being held without bail at the Warren County Jail, is awaiting further court proceedings, and further charges relating to the incident are “pending further lab analysis and investigation.”

Wadsworth was reported missing to Warren Police on Monday, June 14 after friends and family had not heard from her since Thursday, June 9.

Police were called to Wadsworth’s Fourth Ave. residence at 2:41 p.m. Wednesday and called the scene a “suspicious incident” during the initial investigation.

“The investigation resulted in the discovery of a deceased adult female,” Sproveri said Wednesday evening.

According to online court records, Moore was arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Raymond Zydonik Thursday morning and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 29 at 10 a.m.

Court records indicate Moore was taken into custody on June 10 on unrelated charges of forgery and theft by deception and was being held on $25,000 bail.

Warren PD said the following agencies provided assistance in the investigation: Pennsylvania State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County District Attorney’s Office, and the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
