RUSSELL, Pa. – Life, as we know it is slowly reverting back to normal, and Friday at Eisenhower High School provided another example of that.

The Knights’ football team hosted their annual Blue-Gold game, an event they weren’t able to have a season ago for obvious reasons.
The game was won in exciting fashion by the Blue Squad, culminating the end of Eisenhower’s minicamp. More than anything, however, this was a celebration.
“It’s always fun to win, but after taking eight, nine months off, it’s good to be back on the football field,” said Eisenhower’s Cael Black.
The Knights had a season to remember a year ago, advancing to the District 10 championship game, beating West Middlesex in a double-overtime thriller in the process to get there.
This upcoming season, Black, along with Gannon Jaquay and several others, will be counted upon to lead the way.
“We lost quite a bit, so we’re going to step up and show that we are leaders and we need to lead,” Jaquay said.
