Big Idea Contest Coming to Warren

February 27, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Anyone who has been mulling over a new product or innovation might want to stop thinking and start acting.

The PA Wilds Big Idea contest is coming to Warren County on March 23. With more than $60,000 up for grabs to get the idea off the ground, one entrepreneur could be well on their way to launching their product.

“We’re looking for entrepreneurs who are developing or crafting a product, process, or innovation related to the maker economy, outdoors and recreation, forest products, manufacturing, and technology,” according to the Big Idea website. “If this sounds like you, don’t hesitate to apply.”

While the application deadline is April 18, representatives from PA Wilds and their partners, SBDC Gannon, PennTap, and ARC will be on hand at an event at the Women’s Club of Warren at 3 p.m. on March 23 to answer questions.

“Join us for light refreshments and meet our partners (SBDC Gannon, PennTap, ARC) as they answer your questions on entrepreneurship and startups,” the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry, a co-sponsor of the event, said in a release. “Leave with knowledge on how to plan, pitch, and win.”

According to WCCBI, the event will allow attendees to:
– Meet the people who can help you get started
– Network with community leaders
– Hear entrepreneur stories

No registration is required for the March 23 event. For more information on the BIG IDEA contest, visit bfcnp.org/warren.
