“Best Day Ever!!”

Jefferson DeFrees Family Center's annual Touch-a-Truck a big hit
June 11, 2024

WARREN, Pa. – If one attendee’s exclamation can be believed, the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center’s annual Touch-a-Truck event got the unofficial first day of summer off to a great start.

“This is the best day ever,” Makena Hagberg exclaimed while roaming through the vehicles assembled at Betts Park on Saturday. (Editor’s note: Makena is the daughter of Your Daily Local owner Brian Hagberg)

More than two dozen vehicles filled the west end of Betts Park. This year’s event included a monster truck display, the LifeFlight helicopter, and a Pennsylvania Game Commission bear trap among the traditional emergency, construction, and shipping vehicles.

Your Daily Local photographers Cody Elms and Brian Hagberg captured the scene.
