A motor vehicle accident caused Route 27 in Pittsfield to be closed Sunday.

The accident was called in at approximately 1:20 p.m. Sunday and occurred near Hickory Lane, the Route 27 entrance to the Warren County Fairgrounds. Garland and Youngsville Volunteer Fire Departments, EmergyCare and Pennsylvania State Police responded.
As of 3 p.m. Sunday, officials on scene would not confirm the number of vehicles involved, nor the extent of injuries to any drivers or passengers. A medical helicopter was called to the scene.
