Accident Closes Intersection for 8 Hours Monday

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – A motor vehicle accident closed portions of Routes 66 and 948 for eight hours Monday afternoon and evening.

According to the Marienville VFD, responders were called to the intersection of Routes 66 and 948 at 1:39 p.m. for a 2-vehicle accident with entrapment. The collision was between an International and a pickup truck.

Firefighters from Marienville, Highland, Kane, and Sheffield responded, along with Pennsylvania State Police, stat helicopters, and PennDOT.

The scene was cleared at 9:46 p.m., according to the Pulse Point app.

Condition or severity of injuries to any of those involved was unavailable as of 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 4.
