A Tip Of The Cap To the Warren Christmas Walk

December 5, 2020

The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry and everyone involved with the 2020 Warren Christmas Walk could have simply mailed it in this year, using COVID-19 as a reason to take the year off and look ahead toward 2021.

They didn’t, of course, putting together a truly creative and fun event in these strange times.

That’s why it was so disappointing to hear some people complain about what the walk was lacking this year.

Now, that wasn’t everyone, as I think most people had a grand time.

But for those that did complain, I’m here to tell you 2020 is no time to be a ‘Scrooge.’

As you can see from the photos, the event was truly a fun one.

There was the Shoe Box Parade, as well as Letters to Santa and vendors including Relay for Life, SADD, and the Warren County Christian School.

McKissock also did a top-notch job with their Grinch Extravaganza and their window display.

But it was so much more than all of that.

In a time of uncertainty, it was a chance to celebrate the Christmas season and an event that brings us all together.

And, despite a much smaller than usual crowd for obvious reasons, I think it was a major success.

Everyone involved deserves an enormous thank you for a job well done.

And for those that complained, I’m here to tell you to stop being a Scrooge!
